Pathivara Temple is located on hills of Taplejung district, almost 3 km away from place called Suketar. It is situated in North East from Phungling municipality at an altitude of 3,794 m. Pathivara Temple is a holy temple for Hindu people. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Pathivara Devi. It is one of the “Shakti peeths”. Devotees believe that Pathivara Devi fulfills the wishes of true devotees. The pilgrims sacrifice animals, money and jewelries in this temple.
But for tourists who comes here for refreshment and recreation can enjoy hiking and sightseeing. Visitors can visit Kanchanjungha range, water falls at Sawa pokhari and the pond of Timbuk during March to June and September to November. They can enjoy the ecological diversity and breathtaking greenery and natural beauty.
Tourists can enjoy Limbu Cultural Trek in the region which is considered equally enthralling. A week-long trek passes through ethnic villages of Taplejung, such asPhurunga (or Phurumbu), Limkhim, Khewang, Tellok, PhawaKhola and Mamankhe .
