GHANDRUK

Ghandruk is a popular place for trekking, hiking and spectacular view of mountains we can see from this place. This is actually a town located in Kaski Disrict, northern-eastern part of Nepal.

The majority of Gurungs lives here. But the peoples of Magar ethnics and Chani ethnics also reside here whose lifestyle and their living techniques reflects the ancient cultures and traditions of Nepalese people which we cannot found on cities and urban areas. Each and every households here are like a museum to study about the cultures and traditions of Gurungs and Magars.

Ghandruk is a popular place for treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal (i.e. specially for Annapurna Base camp trek), with easy trails and various accommodation possibilities. From Ghandruk there are views to the mountains of Annapurna including Machapuchare and Himchuli. It is the route to Annapurna Base Camp and Poon hill. Gurungs people are abundantly in this village. People are very friendly. We can enjoy a pleasent night at Ghandruk. Transportation facilities are seen upto Kimche and it is one of the beautiful village.
